Michael and Kassidy Andrus are living their dream of running their own supper club, Kassidy’s Studio Lounge & Dining is located just west of Shawano across the Green Bay Street bridge. It’s always been a dream of theirs to have our own place. They purchased Studio Lounge after both had both lost their jobs after working for 10 years at another supper club that closed down. Mike had been the floor manager, while Kassidy worked as the bartender and hostess. After purchasing the business, they kicked off by rehiring several of their former colleagues, giving them a chance to continue working together.

Although they had plenty of experience in the supper club industry, stepping into the role of owners presented new challenges. However, they complement each other well—Mike handles the cooking, while Kassidy manages the bar and dining room. Michael and Kassidy live in Shawano and have two young children, Alivia, MJ and Alexia. They are thankful to the community for their continued support and business.

The couple has also received valuable support from the previous owner, Diane Jensen of Diane’s Studio Lounge, who offers advice and occasionally lends a hand. Diane had hired Kassidy two years before they purchased the business, and her ongoing support has been invaluable. Other local bar and supper club owners have also contributed by donating items to decorate the walls.

One notable decoration is a sign from a former supper club called The Grapevine, which Kassidy’s father found in the attic and repurposed as a wall decoration. Kassidy’s Studio Lounge & Dining features seating in the bar area as well as a large dining area with a fireplace that enhances the ambiance of the main dining room. With the help of family, they made some cosmetic updates to the interior, including painting, and they also invested in a new grill and salad cooler for the kitchen. The supper club employs a solid team of 15 experienced wait staff, bartenders, and dishwashers.

Kassidy’s is open every day except Tuesday, a decision she made because many other places are closed on Mondays. Their hours are from 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
